Cove Birah Senopati

The response from customer service was dismissive when I complained. They asked whether I'd checked the property in person before booking and didn't acknowledge the issues. My room was dusty and clearly hadn't been cleaned properly in a long time. The bathroom was unsanitary, smelled disgusting all the time, and its broken door wouldn't shut, so every night I came back to a room that smelled like an uncleaned toilet. There were cracked walls too, and the whole property felt neglected. I'd look elsewhere. There are plenty of places in the same price range with much better rooms and service.

The common kitchen was filthy, the fridge smelled like rubbish, and the TV didn't work. There was nobody at reception to help when I needed assistance. I booked a premium room but got one facing a wall, with only a small balcony. The whole room was moldy, including the ceiling, walls, and bathroom. It's not suitable for a long-term stay. I've stayed in many places, and this is the only one that's made me want to write a seriously bad review so other people don't fall into the same trap. I really don't recommend it.

After Cove Birah started offering daily stays a few months ago, it got noisier. I understand the rent going up, but the service should stay at the same level. I wasn't even expecting it to improve. I lived at Cove Birah for over 22 months. It's well located near Jalan Senopati, and Ashta District 8 is about a 15-minute walk away. The room came with a private bathroom, bed, wardrobe, nightstands, mini fridge, desk, and chair. Tenants can also use the fitness room and pool. The Wi-Fi in my room stayed weak the whole time, and the AC couldn't cool it even when I set it to 17 degrees. Service could be better too. Some housekeepers were friendly and worked hard, while others were less responsive.

We couldn't get the self check-in QR code to work, there was no one at the front desk, and the listed phone number wouldn't connect. A reply on WhatsApp took ages. The elevator showed no signs of life, so we used the stairs. Garbage piled up on the second floor made us doubt this was a good place for a long stay. What an amazing, jaw-dropping experience.
