Daun Residence

I've lived here for two years, and Daun is better for living quality than other coliving or kost places in the same price range nearby. The staff are great, cleaning in the rooms is thorough, and the building stays clean and well maintained. It never feels musty or humid and is rarely dusty. The rooms are on the small side, but those huge floor-to-ceiling windows make it a good choice if cleanliness and building condition matter more to you than space.

The location is a bit tough to reach without a scooter, which held it back from a five for me. Still, I've stayed in worse four-star places. The room and bathroom were very clean, with no sign of mould, and there's onsite security. Plenty of local food is just outside the gate, plus lots of laundry services. There's a smart TV and even a small gym for working off the Mie Ayam, haha.

Good value for the price. The room, bed, and bathroom were clean, the bed was comfortable, and the fridge was cold. The only issue is the nearby mosque: early morning noise can wake you, so light sleepers should be wary. If noise doesn't bother you, Daun Residence is a good place to stay :)

The room is small, but the cozy interior and lighting make it feel nice, and the bed is comfortable. The local and a few international TV channels were fine. What surprised me most was how hot the shower got, much hotter than the lukewarm showers I've had at other two-star hotels like fave and amaris. The room and bathroom were clean, and the shared microwave and small stove area used by university students was unexpectedly clean too. Daily room service came without me knowing to request it; I'd left my purse, iPads, and other things in the room, and everything was still safe when I returned. The location is quite far in, and reception isn't always staffed, though I understand that. One thing for the owner, the sheets smelled musty and need a proper wash. ❤
