OYO 90941 Egelsa 2020 Syariah

This was my second bad experience with Oyo. The same thing happened to me in Jogja before. I booked and paid in full for a Deluxe Double Room for November 1-3, 2023, but when I checked in, they said it was full and unavailable. Oyo had still sold it. Since the booking was non-refundable, they refused to return my money, saying the discount was the reason. None of this was my fault. Selling a room that isn't available and using a discount to lure people in feels like fraud. Very disappointed.

After a long back and forth, Agoda refunded me, but I had to book and pay for another place first. I booked here through the Agoda app and had already paid. At check-in, the receptionist curtly said the property no longer worked with Agoda. When I asked what to do, she told me to contact Agoda customer service. They later said the property confirmed I had been relocated, but that never happened. I sent Agoda proof of my new booking to show I hadn't been moved. I really don't recommend this place. The service is as bad as it gets.

The staff weren't friendly, and the room had a TV that wouldn't work, a cheap mattress, and a really thin blanket. They also said I had to pay another 50,000 Rupiah because of an alleged error with Oyo/Agoda.

For a short staycation around Rawamangun, this place is really good, really Suariah 👍 The room was clean and came with the amenities, soap, toothpaste, towels, and so on. The blanket is thin, and sometimes there's an unpleasant smell from the bathroom at night. The amenities could be upgraded for the future.
