We didn’t stay overnight, but spent all Saturday at the hotel. First we had tea time buffet with family and friends at Sperta Restaurant. The food was delicious, the price was very appealing, and the staff were really friendly. We loved it and would like to come back for brunch too. We also went to 1920 and ORO. Grand Kemang may be considered old, but we still like its charm.

The hotel is in a posh part of town, not too far from the center. My room had been renovated and was nice, and the food was great, including the breakfast buffet, lunch, dinner, and room service. Service at breakfast was good too. Some of the hotel could use a bit of a facelift.

There was no hot water while I was there, and the bathroom didn’t feel up to a 4-star standard. The property is advertised by management as 4-star, but my experience didn’t live up to that. It seems quite old, perhaps 50 years or more, and maintenance falls short of what I’d expect at that rating. It needs substantial renovation and better upkeep to justify being called 4-star.

It was an easy place to get around from, with KFC, Starbucks, and convenience stores just around the corner. The staff were kind and trustworthy, and safely held onto the valuables my friend had left behind. The room was basic but spotless, and good value for the price. I’d come back.
