Hotel 88 Grogol by WH

The staff were the best part, very dedicated to customers and friendly. The location is handy, with plenty of places to eat outside and malls within walking distance. Rooms are basic, like a budget hotel, and the buffet was okay. My regular room was small and had only a small window. I paid to upgrade to a bigger room with a big window. It was fine as a place to rest for the day.

The room hygiene really needs work. The sheet was stained, and there was a mushroom growing above the door. Yes, an actual mushroom. Lucky I'm not Mario. The main thing going for this hotel is its location, very close to a transjakarta station. Otherwise, the experience was just so-so.

The food was unbelievably good, a diamond in the rough, and the staff were polite and happy to help. The room was another story when we arrived: very dirty, with poor housekeeping, a worn-out bed cover, a humid feel, and a disgusting pillow. They hadn't even provided toilet paper. I might have stayed more nights if the price were much cheaper. It was okay overall.

The room wasn't very clean, with lots of hair when I first got there, and the AC was leaking. The food wasn't very clean either: there was a spot on a new plate I took, but it came off when I scrubbed it. On the plus side, the location is very strategic, with a bus stop a short walk away, public spots nearby, and some famous universities. The price is inexpensive, the staff were wonderful, and the lift smelled good. I'd say it would be more worth the price if they fixed those problems.
