Hotel Monopoli

The breakfast setup is different from a typical hotel buffet: you pick one main and one drink, with free refills of coffee, tea, orange juice or pineapple juice. I thought the nasi goreng was surprisingly good, a bit like Solaria’s in a good way. My room was comfortable, the service was good, and Hotel Monopoli Kemang felt like good value. It’s one of the better hotels in the Kemang area.

Rasyiqah, the sales manager from Monopoli Hotel, even helped decorate my friend’s room as a birthday surprise. She also took care of our booking for me and my friends, stayed on top of every request, and made sure her team looked after our experience from beginning to end. She suggested local places we wouldn’t have found ourselves, all without making anything stressful. It’s rare to meet a manager this hands-on and professional. She’s the main reason we’re planning another Jakarta trip and a stay at this hotel.

The location in South Jakarta is excellent, with a shopping mall not far away and plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby. Rooms are clean and good value, and the lobby is huge, with beautiful antique industrial vibes. The Monopoli team provided amazing service too. There’s maintenance happening in the lobby right now, so expect noise during the day. On Saturday night there was noise from the rooftop, but staff had warned us ahead of time, so we knew what to expect. The stay was good otherwise. The room has a minibar, though you have to pay for what’s in it.
