The executive room was spacious and quiet, and the hotel was clean with a pleasant smell. I’ve stayed at Hotel Jayakarta several times over the past twenty years. Its location is very convenient for transport, and the old historic city center, with its Dutch colonial sites and many visitors, is a ten-minute walk away. The buffet breakfast is great, and there’s a lovely, quite deep pool and a fitness center. The staff were friendly and very helpful. I’d gladly return to Hotel Jayakarta again in the years ahead.

The room lights were pretty dim and the Wi-Fi was just so-so, but that was understandable and fine. I’d read reviews saying the hotel was old and scary, so I hesitated before booking. For my first stay, though, I was happy with how well the room had been kept, and the service was really good. All the staff were kind and helpful. Thanks, Jayakarta Hotel :)

I was there for four nights. The location near Glodok Pancoran is fairly convenient, and the roomy room worked well for a family. Having a bathtub was a nice extra. The room could use some improvement, including basic things like tissues. The key card often failed, so I had to go back to reception several times to get it reactivated. Breakfast was limited and repetitive, with little variety beyond things like nasi goreng, porridge, and chicken.

We come here when we have morning church service nearby, so my family and I have stayed a few times, including at Christmas, on weekends, and after Easter. The location is very convenient for us. The room is spacious, the service is good, and the staff are really nice. The facilities are also top notch, with a few parts feeling new despite this being an old hotel.

The hotel is a little old and run down, but the staff and management went out of their way to make the stay good. There are some really good value deals on booking sites. Just be a bit wary of booking.com: it advertised breakfast as included, but that might not actually be the case, and they didn’t respond to messages.
