The clean room, friendly staff, and comfortable stay made this a good staycation, and I’d recommend it. The location is excellent for shopping, with Thamrin City, Grand Indonesia, and Plaza Indonesia all easily reachable on foot. One small thing that would help travelers like me is an iron in the room, so clothes can be prepared quickly. Apart from that, everything was superb.

Being close to Thamrin City, Grand Indo & Plaza Indo is the biggest plus here, and there are plenty of places to eat nearby. Check-in and checkout were quick, and the cash deposit was returned right away. The breakfast tasted good, even if the choices were limited. I used the next-day laundry service through the concierge; it was cheap by the kilo, smelled clean, and was ready on time. The room was so tight that there was barely space to open two suitcases or lay out a sajadah for prayers. The shower had what looked like black mold between the wall tiles, and the water drained slowly. There’s no dispenser to refill drinking water. I hope management addresses these things, because the current standard doesn’t feel like a 4-star hotel.

The one thing that makes this hotel worth considering is how close it is to Tamrin City. The rooms were clean, but smaller than I expected, and there was black mold on the white grout in the toilet. The free Wi-Fi kept dropping out, and several attempts to reconnect didn’t work. The kettle was broken, and the air conditioning felt weak: even at 16C, our baby was sweating while asleep. There’s no bassinet service either. I got no answer when I called the front desk, so I had to go downstairs myself to ask for extra pillows.

The staff were really hospitable, and I’d probably come back. The room is on the small side for two adults, but I picked this place for its location near thamrin, within walking distance of grand indonesia and plaza indonesia. If you’re planning to shop at thamrin city, it’s a good choice.
