The location is handy, near the train station and plenty of food stalls. There's tasty chicken porridge for sale in front of the HTL gate, and you can buy breakfast there. The room is fairly comfortable. No bottled mineral water is provided, but there's a gallon jug on the first floor by the entrance.

Room 9 was at the far end of the ground floor, which made it quiet enough for the online test I was taking. I wasn't there for a staycation, but I'd consider using the inn again. I hope the owner sorts out the smoking issue in the lobby and on the front porch, since that was the main downside. For a sharia-compliant inn, I expected a cleaner, fresher smell. The cigarette odor in the lobby was overwhelming and really bothered me, and the lobby lights were out. There wasn't always anyone on duty there, the hallway walls were badly peeling or bulging, and the Wi-Fi in my room didn't work well. There were plenty of good points: the location on the edge of Lenteng Agung Street is convenient, parking is ample, and the WhatsApp number works, though replies can be quick or slow. I booked through Ago*a for 187,000 Rupiah. The room was spacious, tidy, clean, and felt homey, with a nearby garden and nice greenery. The AC cooled well. The toilet was clean and the water heater was just right, not too hot. They provided toothbrushes, toothpaste, bar soap, sandals, clean-looking towels, a tall cupboard with lots of storage, large windows that let in enough light with the lights off, a glass, several hangers, a prayer rug, and drinking water from the lobby dispenser. I gave three stars for the service side, which is a real shame.

The room is roomy, with cold AC and a big TV. It's in a busy area with lots of food vendors. A bit dusty, but for the low price it's okay so far.
