Pejaten Valley Residence by ZUZU

I booked three nights and checked out after just one. The room was filthy, with dusty, grimy surfaces and stained chairs and sofa. It also smelled damp, and the fixtures were worn out and badly in need of repair. After I told the staff, he offered me a room upstairs, but it was just as bad.

The location worked well for my best friend's wedding nearby, and there was plenty of parking. They can also add extra beds. The place itself felt like an old guest house that hadn't been properly maintained. The doors creaked and were difficult to use, the lights kept flickering, and the rooms were dusty and marked up. The sofa smelled old, and so did the refrigerator. I hope they improve it so it can compete with other Jakarta hotels at this price.

Getting there could be tricky if you have a large vehicle, since the hotel sits in an alley. There's a pool and a semi-outdoor dining area, though, and the facilities all worked fine. Service and cleanliness were alright.

The rooms are simple but comfortable, and the nature theme makes the place feel calm and cozy. The temperature was just right, so I didn't even need to switch on the A/C. I'd happily stay here again.
