RedDoorz Plus @ Thamrin

I booked a city view room, but when I arrived they gave me one overlooking the hallway. It was dirty, and the shower didn’t work. I complained and they showed me two other rooms, but neither shower worked either. They said to claim a refund through A goda because they had no more rooms available. After I filed a complaint in the app, the hotel rejected it. I went back the next day and complained again. After an hour, they said they’d send an email, then showed me a screenshot as proof to get me to leave. It was a lie, a fabricated email they never sent. I hope they use that money to buy medicine, because what goes around comes around. They’re truly shameful and scammers.

The location in central Jakarta is the one good thing about this hotel. Everything else was disgusting: the room and pillows were dirty, the bedding hadn't been washed, and things were broken. Nothing in the bathroom worked, and there was no water. One of the worst places I've ever seen. Don't stay here if you care about yourself.

Getting around is easy from here, with the airport train, commuter rail, and city buses nearby. Grand Indonesia and Plaza Indonesia are close too.

There are food vendors outside, and the location near several rail lines is a real plus. The hotel itself is in poor shape, though. My room had scuffed walls, dingy sheets, and a window facing the corridor, though it did have a blind. The big bed left barely any space for the chair, which couldn't fit behind the desk. In the bathroom the water pressure was weak, there were no toiletries, and I had to ask specially for toilet paper. The Wi-Fi was unusable in both the room and lobby for most of the day, so I had to rely on my phone data to get anything done. Breakfast was pretty sad too. It seemed included in the room rate, but after the first day I skipped it and ate elsewhere nearby. If the location and a tight budget are your main concerns, it could work. Otherwise, spending a bit more for working amenities during your stay in Jakarta seems worthwhile.
