The Orient Jakarta, a Royal Hideaway Hotel

The pool and its lovely view made for a perfect place to unwind, and the breakfast menu was outstanding. The hotel has a mysterious charm, like a hidden oasis in the middle of Jakarta. Every corner is beautifully put together, with so much attention to detail and atmosphere. It was a unique, unforgettable stay, and I'd definitely come back.

The pool is the part I'm most in love with, and the atmosphere, ambience, and hospitality were all great. Just one small bathroom issue: the water heater or shower only gave hot water, and the cold setting didn't work properly. I guess they've fixed it by now. Everything else was perfect, and I look forward to staying at Orient again in the near future.

We had a fantastic start to Indonesia and our first visit to Jakarta at The Orient Jakarta. The hotel has a distinctive, stylish feel and is in a great area. The arrival security was new to us: our bags went through an X-ray machine. It felt a little unusual at first, but also made us feel safe straight away, and it's clear the hotel takes security seriously. The staff were friendly, attentive, and professional during the full body massage. I was offered a cold drink beforehand and got to choose the oil scent. Afterwards, I could shower in the room, then had ginger tea and nuts. A really relaxing experience that felt carefully thought through. Breakfast was excellent as well, with kind, smiling, helpful staff. There was a large buffet of fresh, high-quality choices, plus an à la carte menu. The eggs benedict and French toast were both tasty. There are several restaurants and bars, so it's a good place for dinner or drinks. The bartender gave helpful suggestions and introduced me to a few versions of a Mai Tai that I enjoyed. Housekeeping was great, and our room stayed very clean. The staff were friendly and respectful, and we came back to find a lovely towel animal on the bed. That small gesture made us feel welcome. Great service, comfort, and attention to detail throughout. Highly recommended for a Jakarta stay.

The Japanese restaurant downstairs was a highlight for us. The food was excellent, authentic, and beautifully presented, which made the stay feel even more special. We found the rooms spacious, lovely, spotless, and well maintained, with great care given to cleaning and detail. From arrival on, the staff were kind, professional, and ready to help with a smile. Their hospitality made us feel welcome and comfortable the whole time. Our stay at Oriental Jakarta Hotel was perfect. If we return to Jakarta, we'd stay here again without hesitation. Highly recommended.
