The room was a decent size and clean, and breakfast in bed was great. It was inexpensive for what we got, and I had a nice time here 🫶🏻. The old money feel is still there, though maybe an old money style renovation would make it feel luxurious again in this century.

It's a large, older hotel, so some parts feel dated and less modern, but everything was very clean and well maintained. There's a calm atmosphere with lots of greenery, and you can enjoy a nice view of the Jakarta skyline at night. Rooms around 1160-1170 are a good choice for that. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and reasonably priced. The location right on Gatot Subroto makes getting around Jakarta easy. There's also a large pool, several tennis courts, and a playground, so it's family-friendly. Ms.Nova kindly helped me get an early check-in smoothly. I had a pleasant stay at The Sultan Hotel & Residence Jakarta. A good fit for a night or two if you care more about space, location, and a relaxed atmosphere than modern style.

The residence was peaceful, and my room was spacious and clean. It's very close to the GBK complex. Breakfast is served in the hotel building, so you have to walk over to a different building.

A shout-out to Pak Zainal at Reception. We checked in in the middle of the night, but he welcomed us with a huge smile and looked after us wholeheartedly. After our long day of overtime work, he even checked on us. His genuine kindness made our night better. Thank you, Pak 💪

The green surroundings are beautiful, and the location is great, but the hotel is so old and outdated, and it hasn't been maintained. It's really sad to see. My room had a terrible cigarette smell, even though I was on a non-smoking floor. This place needs a full rebuild and a new life.
