The photos bore little resemblance to the room I got. It was really dirty: the sheets looked unclean, the pillows were visibly discolored, and there was hair on the floor, bed, and sink. During a storm, water dripped from the ceiling onto the bed at night, and there wasn’t even a blanket. Agoda reviews looked good, but don’t be fooled like I was.

The bathroom was horribly dirty, and the rest of the room was a nightmare too. Black marks covered the walls, there was a huge spider web, and the bed linen looked used, with a red mark that seemed like blood. We got there at 11:20 pm and were told the room wasn’t ready, so we waited 20 min. Once we saw it, it was as described and we left immediately. Thankfully, with help from booking.com, we got our payment refunded.

You guys are being fooled. The same issues were already in Google reviews years ago, and I had the same experience. They asked for feedback, but the only choices were good or not checked in, and there’s clearly been no effort to change. There was no real security, with a broken door and window, and no proper non-smoking area. Even if you don’t smoke in your room, smoke leaks in from outside and the smell lingers because the place isn’t clean. It was dirty too, with blood on the bedsheet and pillow, hair on the floor, bed, and towel, plus a smelly bathroom and pillow. The service was obviously underrated: no explanations, a long wait, booking details that didn’t match, and my ID was held just because they were too lazy to scan it. The water was unclean, clearly salty, rusty, discolored, and seawater-like. There was no privacy with thin walls, constant street noise, and commotion in the middle of the night. The facilities were basically useless: broken AC, broken TV, apparently no Wi-Fi at all, and only one towel for two people, despite what the apps said was available.

The water tasted and felt like seawater. The wash basin was stuck, and the elevator was out of service.
