I spent 3 days 2 night in their best room. The price was so-so, neither cheap nor pricey. The receptionists were polite enough, though not very friendly. There was a kitchen near the room on the first floor, and I almost got trapped inside because the door handle came off. They’d broken the handle so guests couldn’t enter the rooms from the kitchen. Luckily, there was another door leading outside the hotel, and it wasn’t locked that time. The toilet smelled, and there was dust on the room floor. There were two of us, but we got only one toothbrush and one sachet of body lotion. No coffee or tea, though they did provide a water dispenser.

Even the cheapest room was nice, and the place was quiet. There are plenty of nearby shops and food stalls. The soap supply in the room was poor, though, with enough for only 8 clicks.

The room had hotel-like facilities, and the service was first-rate. They even handled things that had nothing to do with accommodation very well. I hope to return to Jember and stay here again.

I’ve been coming here regularly since I got married, and kept returning until my child was a year old. The room is really good, and the bed is so comfortable I don’t want to get up. Back then, we had breakfast with hot tea and free-flow drinking water, but that’s been removed now. Only after having a child did I realize how loud the dawn call to prayer is, and how clearly it carries into the room. The location is really good, with lots of people selling food at night, though choose carefully so you don’t end up disappointed. There’s also an express laundry service next door. If you’re bringing children or have asthma, I’d avoid the aquarium area. It often smells strongly of cigarettes because there’s a parking area and cigarettes below it.
