Syailendra Hotel Syariah

We only stayed one night with family before heading to Karimun Jawa, and for the nightly price I got more than I expected. It’s a quiet, small place for a break from city life, and I’d recommend it if you need a night in Jepara. It’s easy to reach from the main road, and you can park your vehicle inside, which seems safe. The rooms are clean, neat, and cozy, with everything needed, including a hairdryer. The modern, minimalist layout and furniture feel thoughtfully chosen. The toilet is neatly designed too. They’ve installed an Ariston water heater, which was a nice surprise, but its capacity is a bit small for four people, so we had to wait between hot showers. The Daikin air conditioning was another nice touch. One thing I noticed is the water feels “slippery,” so rinsing off soap takes a while. Maybe that’s because Jepara is by the sea. Unlike some other hotels in Jepara, this one is in a “kampung,” rather than by the beach. The staff do their best to provide good service, and mostly succeed. They’re friendly and wear professional clothing. The receptionist who carried our bags upstairs refused our tip. Staying here gives you a sense of the nice life in a Javanese desa, with its kindness and good morals. We didn’t try the swimming pool during our one-night stay. It’s filled with water at normal temperature. Breakfast is served at the small Nareswari Restaurant at the front. It’s neat and cozy, and the food is complete for its size. Don’t expect five-star bakery items, but the food is served with love and care. It feels like coming back to kampung, with a nice, neat, friendly atmosphere. Thank you to the hotel staff for a nice stay.

I only ate lunch at the restaurant, I didn’t stay at the hotel. The food was tasty for the price, and the staff were patient and humble. It’s a cozy, comfortable spot for taking photos, and I liked it there. Sometimes, though, there was a bad, stinky smell when I was there with my friend. I think it came from the drain in front of the restaurant.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast at the restaurant was good. I stayed in the Suite Room at Syailendra Hotel, Jepara from 24 to 26 October last week. The room was large, with a good-sized living room, and it was very well maintained. There was also a pleasant lounge area outside the room, nice for spending time in the evening or at night.

Breakfast was delicious, and the room was clean and cozy. My room phone didn’t work, though, and the AC wasn’t very cold. Since the room is near the main road, motorcycles speeding by made it a bit noisy at night.
