Arjuna Uluwatu Guest House

The staff were so sweet and cleaned our room every day, and we always had hot water in the shower. My wife and I really enjoyed staying at Arjuna. It was quiet, the pool stayed incredibly clean, and the shared kitchen was spotless and easy to use. You can rent bikes there if you need one. We’d recommend it 10/10.

We spent three weeks here and I already miss the place. Everything worked as it should, including the air conditioning, Wi-Fi, pool and kitchen. The room was nice, the staff were lovely, and the guest house sits on a quiet, leafy street, which mattered a lot to us. The best beaches are about 10 minutes away by bike, and you can rent one from the owner. Laundry and the nearest shop are just a minute's walk away. We liked getting breakfast at x.o burger, five minutes from the house. We'll be back 🫠💔

The outdoor lounge attached to our Junior Suite with Garden View felt pleasantly private, and the pool was clean. We also slept fine, as it wasn’t noisy at night. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean, though we ran into a few small issues that weren’t entirely in the accommodation’s control. Water and power cut out intermittently, but never for long enough to cause much trouble. We stayed in March 2025 during wet season. Heavy rain and wind partly flooded the room on two days in a row. We used the extra towels to mop up, but couldn’t get it fully dry. A Scoopy (110cc) rental costs 100k IDR per day, with no deposit. The bike and helmets were okay. There’s a small Indomaret around the corner, but otherwise we’d recommend renting a scooter. The area isn’t very walkable, with traffic, narrow roads and some aggressive dogs on the back roads.

The owner even helped me find and get my own mosquito net curtains after I fell in love with theirs. They really put in the effort to make sure guests are happy and looked after. Arjuna is about a 9-minute drive from Balangan beach, which is lovely, peaceful and easy to reach. We loved the beautiful rooms, the cleanliness, the quiet and the amazing hot shower. The swimming pool is cute, and the flowering trees make the place smell lovely. I also loved seeing the mango tree full of fruit. I highly recommend it, and we’ll definitely be back.
