Balangan Inn

We stayed three nights. The room was spacious but basic, the air conditioning worked, and the shower had hot water. The cleaning needs work: the shower room was a bit nasty, and the basin looked like it hadn't been cleaned in ages. Bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper. I never saw anyone use the pool, so it seemed more like decoration. For the price, you get what you pay for.

We had a great time here. The owner was really nice, and the rooms were clean. The pool was a relaxing place to sit, too. There's a surf shop next door with lovely people, delicious coffee, and surfing lessons. The location is great, and we rented a scooter there. Highly recommend it!

The host was kind and happy to offer advice about getting around. Renting a scooter was easy and highly encouraged, since walking around Balangan can be tricky with all the traffic. Bring cash, as they don't accept credit cards. Our spacious room had a comfortable bed, working air conditioning and fan, hot water, and Wi-Fi. It had the basics for a comfortable stay. There was some road noise because it's near a busy road. My wife wore earplugs and slept fine. The cleaning could be a little better. For the price, it's good value and we can't complain, but you get what you pay for.

We arrived in the middle of the night, and the 24-hour security staff escorted us to our room. The place was quiet and peaceful, and everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. Our room was beautiful, with a comfy bed and a great shower, and housekeeping came every day. Breakfast was fresh each morning and delicious, and the coffee was really good. The pool area was calm and relaxing, and I had an amazing poolside massage after requesting one. Staff were very accommodating and arranged drivers for us. You can also rent a scooter from the hotel. It had only been open for a month when we stayed, and we'd highly recommend it.
