Balangan Residence

The hotel was peaceful, the staff were incredibly kind, and prices felt very fair. Lunch and dinner were delicious, too. We stayed two nights and the room was beautiful, spotless, and comfortable. We also loved the pool, and the massage we booked at the hotel was relaxing and well done. Breakfast was included, with a great selection of sweet and savory food, fresh juice or fruit, and espresso coffee or tea. Everything tasted fresh and well prepared. The restaurant staff remembered our coffee preferences and special requests, which made us feel cared for. Reception were always helpful with information. The whole stay exceeded our expectations, and we’d definitely come back and recommend the hotel.

The pool was the highlight for us, and the staff made the whole stay memorable. Everyone was friendly from the moment we arrived, and the rooms, pool, and other areas were clean. We were lucky to get an upgrade at no extra cost, which we really appreciated. We also enjoyed the à la carte breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The restaurant staff were kind and took my allergies into account. The hotel has a thoughtful getaway feel, with lovely stone walls and old school locks instead of keycards, alongside modern touches like outlets for international plugs and good lighting. My only complaint was the road in. Ulluwatu generally has very narrow roads, so this is a great spot if you’re on a 2 Wheeler with little luggage. Sorry I don’t have photos right now, but I’ll try to add some to the review later if I can.

This felt like one of the best places I’ve personally stayed in Bali. It seems brand new, and the staff, cleanliness, and menu were all first class. The neighborhood is quiet, and it seems most guests spend their time at the hotel. The spa was lovely, especially the 90 minutes Balinese massage. It was also nice to watch the sunset from the beach and beach bars.

We really enjoyed staying at our hotel in Balangan. The staff were welcoming and genuinely nice, which made everything feel comfortable and relaxed. Breakfast was fresh and tasty each morning, and the restaurant food was delicious. The prices there were a little higher than at other nearby places, though. Good people, good food, and a nice atmosphere made this a solid choice for Balangan.
