Jimbaran Hidden Paradise Villas

For what we paid, this place was nowhere near what we expected. It was old, run-down, and dirty, and I’d rate it below one star. There was mould in every room, and the bedding and towels were dirty. The rooms smelled mouldy, the air conditioning didn’t cool properly, and both fridges were broken. Roosters and dogs made noise day and night, so several guests found other accommodation because they couldn’t sleep. The doors had big gaps, wouldn’t close or lock, and left the rooms feeling insecure. The old blinds didn’t give privacy, and mosquitoes could get inside. There were gaps large enough that a snake or lizard could get in too. The grounds were so uneven and dangerous to walk around that I wouldn’t consider the place suitable for children, or really for adults either. The cleaners were nice, but couldn’t speak English and never replaced our towels, so we had to get more ourselves from the front desk.

It’s a fifteen-storey hotel with 100 rooms, and my stay there last month was comfortable and luxurious. The staff were friendly and could speak several languages, including Russian and English. They offered first-class service and modern facilities. The rooms have air conditioning, hot and cold showers, a telephone, Wi-Fi, interactive TV, and a minibar. Each floor has a designated smoking room. There’s also parking, family rooms, and an elevator. Guests can use the gym, sauna, and swimming pool for free. It seemed well suited to both recreation and business.

It’s a beautiful, tucked-away villa, and we stayed there with my big family last December. The concierge served breakfast. The only downside was that I couldn’t get any wifi. There are two separate villas, each with its own pool and kitchen. The one in front has four rooms and a medium-sized pool. At the back, a secret passageway leads to six bedrooms with direct access to and a view of the big pool. Everything else was beautiful.

A lovely spot for a large group. The rooms and pools were cleaned regularly and were well maintained, and the staff were friendly.
