Mango Tree Villas

Mango Tree Villas made a lovely base for exploring Jimbaran, with the beach and famous seafood restaurants just minutes away. You can have fresh grilled fish on the sand at sunset. Our villa was spacious, clean and surrounded by greenery, and it felt like a quiet tropical escape just a short walk from the beach. The hosts were so welcoming and sweet from the moment we arrived, and made us feel right at home. If you want a peaceful, authentic stay with heart, I highly recommend it.

I booked two nights but left after one because I didn’t feel safe. Getting there is inconvenient since you can’t drive to the property and have to walk to the main road. Several large dogs bark and rush at you every time, which made my wife extremely uncomfortable. The nearby beach is in terrible shape, with trash, foul smells and a slum-like path. There’s no restaurant or proper room service. The interior was clean and the manager professional, but this wasn’t worth the stay. It felt more like an Airbnb setup than a proper resort.

The villa is tucked into a very quiet spot at the end of a small side street in Djimbaran, south of the airport and not far from the sea. It’s walled off from outside with a gate. Inside, the pool sits beside an open living and dining area, with two bedrooms facing the pool, each with its own bathroom. The whole place is in Balinese style, and the staff prepare a delicious breakfast in the dining area every morning. Simply fantastic. The owners are Swiss and have been in tourism for a long time, so they’re happy to help if a problem comes up. Kuta, with its tourist bars and noise, is north of the airport, where it’s easy to find the bus connection.

The villa was lovely, with a big, clean pool, a good kitchen, and rooms that were clean and comfortable. The staff were welcoming, helpful and very respectful. Staying here was a real pleasure 🫶🏼
