Nirmala Hotel & Bungalow Jimbaran

We stayed here on the final day of our trip, mainly because it was near the airport. There was also an ATM and a mart nearby. The rooms were good, but the toilet had a terrible smell. They tried to sort it out, though the stink never went away completely.

The staff couldn't speak English, and we ended up asking for our money back and finding another hotel. We left exhausted and stressed. The place could be nice with more effort, but it was in very poor condition and badly maintained. Our old room hadn't been cleaned properly, with spiderwebs hanging around, stained sheets and towels, and a very uncomfortable bed. The bathroom was old and disgusting, and the shower had no hot water. The pictures don't show what you actually get. At first we thought an event was happening, but it wasn't. There were perhaps more than 100 people working at the hotel while we were there, and they left cigarettes and spit in the swimming pool. You could see spit floating on the water, which made swimming really uncomfortable. I don't recommend staying here.

The price is good, the location is awesome, and the staff are nice. The room is big too, but the hotel is old and needs lots of maintenance. The floor has many cracks, the wardrobe is broken, the air conditioner isn't cold, and the TV has a lot of distortion. It might not suit families with children. With lots of rooms and a good price, it seems more suitable for budget group trips.

The location is good, and the rooms are spacious, but they feel wasted because the building needs renovation so badly. The large bungalows, garden, and rooftop pool give this little hotel potential, though it isn't being looked after. Even basics like internet and cable are missing, and the lift seems out of service, leaving a long, hot walk to the top. Probably better for a quick stop than a holiday.
