Lorin Sentul Hotel

I used the ballroom and mushola for an event, though I didn’t stay overnight. Both spaces were clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the ballroom equipment worked properly. The staff were very helpful throughout, and I was really satisfied with the facilities and service. I’d recommend the hotel for events or gatherings.

The pools were a highlight, with one for kids and two for adults at 1.5 m and 1.4 m deep. They aren’t Olympic-sized, but they work for a light swim. They were all pretty crowded while we were there, which was peak season. We stayed two days, from 1-3 January 2026. Check-in took a while because of the busy season, but the stay was okay. The room was fine, though a wardrobe would be handy, especially for a place popular with families on staycations. Breakfast was decent, nothing special, and there wasn’t any cheese. More variety would be welcome.

The worst part was how much information was missing. I checked into a deluxe in the new building, and it was just okay, though the table and some furniture were dirty. The next day I found out the superior rooms were in the old building, which is called Lorin Syariah Hotel, not Lorin Hotel. Nobody told me I’d have to move to that building, and they said superior rooms were only there. Really missed information. I won’t stay here again. For NYE, we also weren’t told the buffet would close at 9 pm. This was a really bad experience and not worth coming for. I complained at reception, and they said maybe someone had forgotten to give out the rundown, then handed me a small-print copy. We were also told our complimentary food and drink would come, but over an hour later it still hadn’t arrived. They said there were lots of orders.
