New Adirama Beach Hotel

I paid 500k a night for a standard room with a pool view, and the only English response I got to my problems was that I should have booked a more expensive room. The room felt like a construction site, with about 10cm of dust and dirt on top of the wardrobe. The bathroom smelled badly, and things were falling apart: the towel hook broke when I tried to hang my towel. The power points were broken, so I couldn't use the lamp or charge anything. There was no fridge despite the listing, and the supposed pool view wasn't a view. The towels were more like foot towels. The free internet signal was so weak I couldn't use it. Breakfast had to be ordered at reception, which would have been useful to know. They don't speak English, so it was hard to explain what I needed. There was no water when I got dirty from touching the wardrobe. I told reception and, 20 minutes later, they brought a bottle of water. Apparently the water stops from time to time and you have to report it and wait for it to come back. Dirty, smelly, broken sockets, no internet, and no water. Good luck.

After staying here for the Eco Run System Running Event in Singaraja, this would be my first choice if I come back. The rooms were clean, without the mold you sometimes find in places that look much better in photos than in person. The staff were very friendly, and the pool was perfectly clean. It was quiet at night and I slept well. Good value, too.

We found a cheap seafood restaurant within walking distance, which was handy. Our family room for four was spacious and had a sea view, with a comfortable wooden bed. The staff were kind and accommodating, breakfast was delicious and came in a big portion, and the pool was clean and nice.

The suite has a beautiful view, and the hotel sits by the main Singaraja Lovina road. But the road noise went on through the night, and the stay felt far from a proper hotel experience. When we arrived, two men were playing on their phones and didn't acknowledge us. They went off to find a woman in a nightgown (daster) who seemed to be in charge. She did help, but the lack of professionalism was jarring. We had booked a month ahead and confirmed our late arrival two hours before getting there, yet the suite wasn't ready. We stood with our luggage while they hurried to prepare it. They offered a standard room while they cleaned, then forgot about us completely. The rooms are dated, the floors were dusty, and the jet sprayer was so powerful it couldn't be used. Cats were sleeping and leaving their "business" on the veranda, spoiling that otherwise majestic view. There was no apology or small gesture after the chaotic arrival. The staff tried their best, but the basic amenities and professionalism were lacking. This place needs a lot of work before it can really be called a hotel.
