The rooms are large, and breakfast is decent. The hotel staff really stood out, they were all extremely friendly and accommodating. There’s also a free shuttle to get around the Lovina area.

I had a bad stay last month. Whenever I raised a complaint, the reply was always, “Sorry sir, I’m just a daily worker, I can’t help you, I’ll tell our manager later.” But I never met the manager before my last day. The hotel owner seems to have chosen the wrong person to manage the business. I’m a hotel general manager in my country, and if I had a manager like this, I’d fire him. He isn’t teaching the team how to handle guests well, and he seems to hide when guests want to complain. The team isn’t at fault here. It’s the manager’s failure to do the job properly and train the staff.

We booked three nights in a room overlooking the ocean for the sunset, but it was very hot when we arrived and the fridge didn’t work. We went down to the pool to watch the sunset, only to find no basic cocktail menu and staff who didn’t seem well trained. They barely spoke English, and even though I speak Bahasa, I had to repeat my order three times. We decided to check out and move to another hotel. We didn’t get a refund, but having a convenient holiday mattered more to us.

The staff were kind and responsive, and when I booked a dolphin watching trip, we saw dolphins twice. The room was clean, nice, and spacious, with a balcony overlooking the sea. The infinity pool was cool, and the sunset and sunrise views were breathtaking. The only thing I didn’t like was the food. For the price range, I expected a buffet, but we were served à la carte.
