RedDoorz Plus Near Kalibaru Station

A quiet hotel with helpful, friendly staff. Good for an overnight stop and a dip in the pool. The room wasn't special, but it had everything I needed.

The setting is lovely, beside a fast-flowing river and lush tropical forest, but that's about the only thing in its favor. The rooms are very basic, with a shower like one at a one-star European campsite. Breakfast was meager and the pool was dirty. I only noticed afterward that it's a two-star hotel, so maybe I expected too much.

It's a quiet, pleasant place in the cool Kalibaru area, with a traditional look. The cottages sit among trees and plants, so ants or other insects may make it into your room. There’s no air conditioning or elevator, and each building has two villas. The bathroom is spacious with a natural feel, and there's a pool. Breakfast was poor, but it's a great escape from city noise and a refreshing place to stay.

A peaceful, pleasant hotel with spacious rooms, hills and a river all around, and friendly staff. The food menu is limited, and the local dishes aren't very authentic. The Western options are much better.
