K Adventure Homestay

I booked the small room for IDR 70,000. It was dark and cramped, with no AC or hot water, and the bathroom was shared. For that price, I couldn’t expect much. It’s fine for a few hours before heading to Kawah Ijen, but I wouldn’t choose it for a longer stay. The location is the real plus, close to both the train station and ferry harbor. The owner can exchange money, though remember to negotiate. They also run an Ijen tour. I paid IDR 400,000 per person, including pickup and return, a health check, ticket and guide, which seemed quite a bit more expensive than other options.

Sam was waiting for us when we arrived in the middle of the night and kept in touch beforehand. He’s polite, friendly and nice. The room was fairly good for staying one night.

The price is very cheap, but my window faced the corridor, and it was really noisy with the Masjid speakers so close. I also couldn’t make myself understood because they don’t speak English.

The rooms are really clean and comfortable for a stay with your partner or family. This place deserves five stars from me 😻⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
