We got to the trailhead right beside the place and went down without a guide. Just ask the staff for a badge, then pay 30k to enter the path. The walk wasn't too hard for me, though it's slippery and you have to cross the river in a few places. There are handrails and a paved path all the way down, plus ropes to help with the crossings. Bring a dry bag: the waterfall is so powerful that it feels like rain underneath it. We went around 7 in the morning and had the falls to ourselves. More people arrived as we were leaving, and it got busy. The nature is astounding, and it's my favorite place I've seen during six months in Bali. The waterfalls are incredible and the river is the cleanest I've seen on the island. It felt magical. The room at Sugi gede was cozy and very comfortable, and the staff were kind to us. I'd stay again when I'm in the area. Breakfast is included in the room price, and the food at the warung next door is nice too. Suksma.

The family are lovely, the rooms are clean, and the accommodation is amazing value. Our booking included free breakfast, and they gave us cards for cheaper waterfall entry. The beds were extremely uncomfortable, and there was no A/C, although they did have a big fan. Those two things kept it from being almost perfect. There were also quite a lot of ants around the balcony, but you're basically in the jungle, so that sort of thing is to be expected.

The restaurant has a wonderful view and the food is really good. The rooms are great, and the people are super nice. There are a few ants on the wall, but they don't do anything. Staying here gets you to the waterfall for 30k instead of 300k, which is an incredible deal. I don't usually write reviews, but I had to for this place!

The family were wonderful and everyone was kind and helpful, so I felt comfortable the whole time. My room was spacious, with a lovely balcony and hammock overlooking the valley, and it had a mosquito net. The hotel is right by the waterfall trail. This was easily my favorite place to stay in the north of the island, and I'll definitely come back. Thanks!

Room 1 upstairs was comfortable, with a balcony furnished with a hammock and beanbag. The chicken curry was delicious, and breakfast was simple but good enough for the room rate. The homestay is right by the entrance to Sekumpul waterfall, so it was easy for me to visit Sekumpul, Hidden, and Fiji waterfalls. The discount badge for the two waterfalls was a nice extra.
