The room rate was IDR 250,000. We were welcomed by a very friendly lady, and the rooms are spacious, with two beds that can fit four adults. I’m drawn to places with a simple, natural feel, though the furniture and TV could use an update. The room amenities and flush toilet could be improved too.

Be careful with Fajar Indah. I booked through Agoda, but after I checked in, they turned me away and said they don’t work with Agoda. They also refused to give me the owner’s phone number when I asked. I suspect this is a scam, and the room isn’t fit to live in. I’m the one who got scammed.

Please be careful and don’t book through an app. The hotel says it doesn’t work with any booking applications, and I hope nobody else becomes a victim 🙏

This is an offline-only hotel, so you need to book in person. The owners are elderly and, as far as I understand, they’ve never worked with any OTAs. They’ve tried to process bookings, but those never cleared, and the hotel ended up appearing on various apps anyway. If you arrive with a booking from Oyo, Traveloka, or another OTA, you’ll be turned away. Any listing there is a scam, according to what I was told. I stayed for two nights. The lady greeted us warmly and offered tea or coffee while checking us in. We could pick a room if one was still available, and towels and soap were provided. For 200,000 Rupiah, we got a room on the main road with ample parking and two large beds for two to four people. The building and even the sheets have an old-fashioned feel, like staying at your grandpa’s house. The hot water didn’t work for a while, and I had to ask the lady’s dad to help.
