Hotel Mitra Inn

A decent breakfast and warm, helpful staff made this old hotel feel worth the price. The room is fine for a short stay, and you can park right outside it. It’s been maintained, with some room renovations, and the basics work: the new AC gets very cold at night, the water heater works, and the TV has local channels. Breakfast was adequate, and the room service menu had plenty of choices at very low prices for a hotel.

The hospitality was good, and the room was clean and comfortable enough. Breakfast had a varied menu and the food tasted fair. Some items listed on the menu, including juices, weren’t available.

I booked through an app during Ramadan because the price was affordable. For IDR 220k, the Deluxe room came with two beds, toiletries, buffet breakfast for two, and parking just outside the room. It was cozy, with working AC and hot water. Adding a third guest cost IDR 25k per person, and Wi-Fi only worked in the lobby. At checkout the receptionist said one towel was missing. I asked twice to check the room again, and it turned out the towel had fallen on the floor and the housekeeping staff hadn’t seen it. I keep wondering what would’ve happened if I hadn’t insisted.

The price fit the room and facilities, but the employees are what I’ll remember. We arrived around 4am and were greeted warmly at reception. Later, housekeeping knocked for a while and called out; I thought it might be my friend from another room. When I opened the door, still half asleep, he told me I’d left my friend’s iPhone 8+ on the table outside our room. Such honest people. We came down for breakfast after it ended at 10am, and the buffet trays were empty. Staff asked if we still wanted food and offered to prepare some, even though it was our fault we were late. They looked after us again. The hospitality was so good for the room price that I’d stay here again. Thanks for the great service.
