The view over the rice fields was amazing. Each morning the sun came up, and I’d get up for meditation and yoga in the warmth. There’s also a yoga area in the garden. The room was gorgeous, clean, comfortable, and quiet, with a balcony and a great shower. It had a little kitchen with a fridge, hob, and some utensils. It’s easy to find with Google Maps, but you need a scooter. The family are lovely. I didn’t get the breakfast mentioned, but I was there over the New Year celebrations, a special fasting period for them. Highly recommend.

The room and garden were nice, with a good yoga space, and the owner was very friendly and ready to help sort out issues. Still, it was just good enough for a stay, and the kitchen wasn’t suitable for cooking because its equipment was in very bad condition. The drying rack was dirty, almost black. After the rain, I had to wash it with soap several times before I could dry my clothes. The downstairs room at the back smelled moldy. There was no soap, shower gel, or shampoo.

I spent almost 11 months here during the pandemic and absolutely loved my stay. The owners, Ambara and Desa, are wonderful and care for the place with so much attention. The garden is beautifully maintained, with all kinds of butterflies and dragonflies. They’ll happily take you on a long walk through the rice fields, which I recommend, or you can practice yoga in the garden shala. It’s a quiet neighbourhood, with a lovely toko nearby for fresh vegetables. You get a taste of Balinese life while still having privacy. The rice field view never gets boring. I only left because I had to, and would highly recommend staying here. There are waterfalls nearby, and the warungs and coffeeshops in Mas are within a five-minute scooter ride.

The hosts are wonderfully kind, and I definitely recommend staying here. It’s a tucked-away little oasis with a clean room and bathroom, a hot shower, and great Wi-Fi. Each morning they cooked breakfast and brought it to the veranda. There’s also a kitchenette where you can get hot water, coffee, or tea any time, day or night. Restaurants, bars, music, scooter parking, Sacred Monkey Forest, the Palace, and other places to visit are all within walking distance.
