We only meant to book two nights, but kept extending because the guest house was so cozy and comfortable. The hosts and staff were attentive and kind, and did a lot to make our stay enjoyable. What stood out most was how clean the room was, and how lovely it smelled. There was no dust or insects at all. Breakfast was a nice extra, and the pool was clean and looked after. Parking is available. The guest house sits in a quiet area, with shops and a gas station nearby. There are also places to eat close by, and their prices are incredibly cheap. Ubud centre is about 15 minutes away, with half the trip along a new road that was almost empty.

The open kitchen was handy for making small meals whenever we wanted, and we could ask for breakfast to suit our preferences. I also loved the clear, clean pool. The room and bed were very comfortable, and the whole property was clean and pleasant. Both the host and hotel owner were polite. I had a great stay and would happily recommend this hotel.

The hosts served breakfast, and the overall service was so good that I felt welcome and comfortable throughout. The room was spacious and very clean, with a really nice bathroom. There’s a kitchen area for simple cooking, and the pool is a lovely spot to swim or relax. Plus, there are two cute dogs to love. I had a really enjoyable stay and would come back.

Green Papaya House was one of the highlights of my time in Bali. The family made me feel at home straight away, they’re so warm, welcoming, and genuine. My room was spotless and cleaned daily, and the pool was great and always well kept. Restaurants are right next door, and the city centre is just 15 minutes away. I loved every moment here. We spent five days here without any problems, and had a fantastic stay. The villa is quiet and well away from busy, chaotic Ubud, so there were no traffic jams. The rooms are large, with comfortable beds and pillows, and the restroom was clean. The Indonesian staff and owners were accommodating. Highly recommended.
