There are several eateries, cafes, and laundry places nearby, and the parking area is quite spacious. The inn has air conditioning, hot water, mineral water, a dispenser, a cooking burner, and cutlery. It feels rural, but the city center isn’t far away, and getting to services is convenient. The owner is very hospitable. One of the better places to stay around here.

Hendro, the house manager, is great about keeping in touch and can arrange rides or rentals. The price feels fair for what you get. It’s a cozy place north of the busy city, with a good position for heading to the temples or Merapi. There are four small bedrooms, plus outdoor kitchen and sitting areas, but no fridge. The layout is a little odd, so watch the edges between the different areas. The neighborhood can be noisy, though it’s bearable. The bathroom is basic, but the hot water and toilet work fine. There’s a long list of house rules, nothing unreasonable, though alcohol isn’t allowed.

The whole place is really comfortable and enjoyable, with a clean, cozy room. It has the feel of grandma’s house and a slower way of life. I hope Omah Kampong Inn does well and stays busy.

The WiFi is toppppp, everything works, and I deliberately left the TV off. The guest house is clean, lovely, fragrant, and really comfortable, with good service and a spot near the main road. The owner is very Jogjakarta, meaning super friendly, and the reviews are honest. Five stars. Must try. God willing, I’ll come back. Stay healthy, paaakkk ✨✨
