The Sawah Resort & Villa

The hosts were welcoming and flexible, and agreed to move me when the AC in my room wasn't working well. It’s a pleasant place surrounded by nature, outside the city. Breakfast has almost no vegetarian options, so it probably won’t suit vegetarians, especially Indians. Still, it was a very good stay.

A good place to stay, with nice rooms and fewer people around since it’s on the outskirts of ubud. There aren’t many Indian food options nearby, though, so you’ll need to travel to find that kind of food.

I liked the peaceful setting, the quick wifi, and the clean, pleasant room. From the large pool you can look out over the rice fields, and it’s a lovely spot to hear birds and ducks instead of traffic. We only stayed one night. The bathroom was the drawback for me: its floor tiles are black, and with my poor eyesight I tripped often. Otherwise, it was a nice stay. There are lots of food delivery choices, and the drive to central Ubud takes 10-15 minutes.

The staff were nice, but our stay was still really terrible. The villa didn’t look like the photos, and the indoor pool was very dirty when we stayed there on October 6. The lighting in the villa was really bad, and so was the location.
