Claro Kendari

I stayed for 5 days, and this place absolutely wasn't worth the price. They call it a 4-star hotel, but the quality felt like a motel. The internet was only around 15 MBPS, which was a real disappointment, and guests couldn't even borrow a basic item like an iron. Don't stay here. Find another 4 or 5 star hotel.

This hotel might suit a short stay better than a longer one. It was our second time staying here while visiting Kendari. The room was adequate and had standard amenities, but it wasn't soundproof. We could hear the neighboring room clearly, and once we had to call reception late at night about the noise because we needed to sleep. Breakfast was decent, though after more than five days, as we stayed, there wasn't much variety to look forward to. The coffee was disappointing, neither hot nor fresh. Even after asking for a fresh cup, it tasted the same, so we went somewhere else for coffee. Our stay also included a daily karaoke package and access to the club entrance, which could be good for guests looking for entertainment.

I made a lot of requests when booking, and the hotel handled them really well. The staff service was great, the receptionist was good mannered, breakfast was good, and everything seemed to work properly. The hotel was good all around. I did notice that my non-smoking room smelled as if the previous guest had smoked in it. Also, there was a vapor iron instead of a regular clothes iron, so I couldn't use it. The laundry staff didn't explain how it worked either. Nah.
