Grand Kanjuruhan Hotel

I stayed in the VIP room at the front of the hotel as 2025 came to an end. The price was cheap for what the hotel offers. Breakfast was included, and on December 31 we also got a free dinner. They gave us 10 cent to spend at the hotel's bazaar event for the last night of December 31, 25. It was a fun idea to make guests happy. We enjoyed our stay. The staff were friendly, the room was quite big, and the bed and view were nice. We'll stay here again.

I stayed for a month, and the rice field view from the room window was what I liked most. It's a beautiful scene, and I'd recommend the hotel for travelers or a family staycation. For its class, the free dinner is unusual, and you can choose whether to have breakfast. There are three accommodation levels in separate buildings. The main building has the highest-class rooms, priced at 350-500k IDR, with a free minibar, fridge, warm water, and breakfast. The middle building has smaller standard rooms with AC but no warm water, for 175-225 IDR. The rear building has the cheapest fan rooms.

For an IDR 365k room, this felt like overkill in the best way. The place had everything I wanted: a roomy space, great bed, hot running water, a welcome snack, breakfast, a hairdryer in the bathroom, plenty of parking, and friendly staff. Just too good for the price.

The room was clean and quite large, with a traditional touch and room amenities provided. We arrived in the evening and were told there was a welcome meal on the second floor. It was simple, rice with lodeh, traditional fried chicken, snacks, and hot tea or coffee, but it did the job. A nice hotel in Malang town.
