Nida Rooms Umar Barat Denpasar at Bali Paradise City Hotel

We checked out within 30 minutes. The place was nothing like the app photos and seemed like an abandoned building. There was no fitness centre, just a room full of rubbish; no bar or restaurant; no lights; and no staff around. The pool looked so bad I'd rather swim in the nearby river. There was a list of numbers to call, but nobody answered. The room was dirty, the dishes were unwashed, and hundreds of insect larvae were all over the walls and ceiling. The balcony door was broken and couldn't be closed or locked. When we tried to get a refund, neither the property nor the company we booked through could reach anyone by calls or email. I've asked the apps to remove the property because I think this is basically fraud. Be very careful and don't book here. I don't believe the reviews are real.

I really enjoyed my stay. The hotel is classy and very affordable, with a large, clean room and a bathroom I especially liked. There's also a small fitness centre. The confusing part is the name: I booked Airy Teuku Umar Barat 234, but the front of the building says Bali Paradise Hotel. There seemed to be too few staff. No one greeted us when we arrived, and the receptionist wasn't there. Other guests had already waited over 30 minutes before they finally left. Still, I enjoyed staying here.

The room was nice and very cheap, though the building is old and a bit spooky. I stayed alone and felt as if I might be the only person in the whole place. Better lighting and more staff would help. Nothing happened, and I slept fine, but going in and out of the room always felt challenging.

The prices are fair, but the bathroom needs a much more careful clean and the lighting is too dim. Staff only speak Indonesian. The air conditioner was broken, and after it was repaired it became very loud.
