Sunny Nine by Betterplace Hotel

The only real drawback was outside the property: construction nearby ran from around 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., and a bright floodlight shone straight into our window. After 11 years in Bali, we’ve learned to live with these things. We stayed eight days and really enjoyed it. The apartments are well built and thoughtfully designed, with simple but pleasant interiors. Housekeeping was friendly and helpful, and reception staff were just as welcoming. We checked in with our cats, and we’re grateful they allowed pets. Overall, I was very happy with everything. Thank you for the hospitality!

I found the quieter setting a real plus. Sunny Apartments 1 from Sunny Nine in Bali isn’t on the seafront or in the busiest tourist area, but shops, a good supermarket, a local coffee shop, and restaurants are within a short walk. The beach is about ten minutes away on foot. Inside, the apartment was comfortable and high quality, with excellent furniture, a roomy layout, a large cozy living room, a fully equipped kitchen, and a balcony with a lovely sea view. It was cleaned regularly and kept in excellent condition. There’s also a great pool and a convenient cowork space for anyone needing somewhere quiet to work. The staff were warm, friendly, and helpful throughout. With the facilities, regular cleaning, and location, it offered outstanding value. A fantastic place to stay in Bali, highly recommended.

I loved my studio apartment, and the staff were all friendly and professional. The water dispenser was really handy, and the water tasted good. One small suggestion: provide a proper towel for drying dishes. There were some things to be ready for. I could see construction from both my room and the pool area. Cafe del Mar played loud music from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., and during my four-night stay I heard people outside in the early hours every night. It seemed like a bit of a party hub, so bring earplugs. Hot water took four to five minutes to come through, so don’t give up on your shower.

We loved our two-night stay and would absolutely recommend it. The room was spacious, with a flat smart TV, kitchenette, and sofa. The bed was very comfortable, the sheets, towels, and pillows were clean, and the hotel provided pool towels. Daily cleaning was available if wanted, and the staff were welcoming and super friendly. There was security on site around the clock. The pool was fairly clean, though there were a few bugs in the water, and it loses the sun in the afternoon. Taxis through Grab were easy to order, and getting to the local town or beach was straightforward.
