After a glamour shoot outside the resort for a local model agency, my friend and I had a few drinks at the pool bar. The drinks were very well made, and the place seemed quite nice. They welcomed us even though we weren’t guests, which surprised me. I’m used to the snooty Waikiki hotels that tend to shoo non-guests away. The beach was decent, though I’m from Hawaii and live a mile from one of the nicest beaches in the world, so I have high standards.

We checked out and found another hotel after just an hour. The sheets were so dirty that lying on them made us itchy right away, and the rooms were terribly old and unclean. The photos are fake. Nobody even asked why we were leaving, which made me think they already knew about these problems.

Good value and close to the beach, about a 15-20 minute walk. Strawberry Field, a popular cafe, is nearby too. The location is central, but it isn’t that easy to find or especially convenient unless you’ve been to Bali before. Apart from that, it’s a solid three-star place. Cheers!

The hotel was just okay. Our room smelled awful, and the bathroom was really old. Everything in the neighborhood closes very early, and the beach there is awful.

The room was spacious, and the staff were friendly. You get what you pay for. The location in Petitenget is good, within walking distance of Batu Belig Beach and plenty of nearby restaurants.
