I hadn’t told them I’d arrive very late, at 2:30am, but the 24-hour front desk really was staffed. Check-in and checkout were breezy. The room and toilet were very clean, the shower was good, and they even provided a toothbrush. The sheets, blanket, and pillow smelled fresh, and the AC was excellent. A five-star stay for the price. I’d happily come back.

There’s no breakfast before 9am, and even then the restaurant wasn’t open at 9. I missed breakfast two days in a row. The shower handle in my room was broken, and pulling the tap all the way made the water pressure send the shower swinging around and soak the whole bathroom. Hot water was also very hard to get, and the toilet was only suitable for basic use. Smokers could smoke in the lobby or in an open space on the rooftop above the third floor, which had a very good view.

The staff were friendly and clearly doing their best, but I wouldn’t recommend staying here. The room wasn’t clean, had a really strong chemical smell, and the air conditioner barely cooled it. Wi-Fi was too weak to load social media.

For 23AUD, I got a roomy, clean space with a sunny window, a nice desk, a safe, and a kettle. The shower was a bit tricky, and I noticed lots of stains on the bed and towels, so it may bother anyone sensitive to that. It’s pretty far from the tourist areas, so I wouldn’t suggest it for a short trip. If you’re after somewhere cheap and have time, though, it works ✌️

I arrived at 2:30am and the very friendly staff were a big help. Some spoke amazing English. The pool and the rooms facing it look out over rice paddies, and the restaurant food was very good, especially the nasi gorang. My room was clean and had AC, WI-FI, and a TV.
