Villa Elisa

The location worked well for us, between Seminyak and Canggu centre, about a 15-minute scooter ride from one to the other. Shops, a spa, restaurants and bars were a 5-10 minute walk away, and the local restaurants kept leaving us full and happy. We were eight in the villa, so the price was more than reasonable split between us. The place looked even better in person than in the photos, which surprised me. It’s a beautiful villa, with spacious rooms that were cleaned every day and a lovely, well-kept saltwater pool. We’d read reviews mentioning crabs, but didn’t see any. The staff were wonderful, especially our lovely housekeeper. They were kind and polite, stayed late to check us in, and were always a message away if we had questions or concerns. We’d arranged our own activities, but it was nice to know we could ask the staff about transport, activities or in-villa pampering.

The location made it easy to get around on foot. The area felt very safe, the beach was about a 10-minute walk away, and there were nice restaurants and clubs nearby, along with sports facilities. The villa was in really good condition and everything was well organized. The staff were friendly, helpful and very capable. Breakfast was ready each morning for us and the children, and they could also make dinner if you wanted. It’s beautifully designed, very clean and fully equipped. It worked well for a family with young kids, but friends could enjoy it too. Each bedroom has a TV for some private time, and its own bathroom with a shower, toilet and/or bathtub. We came away with that proper holiday feeling.

Breakfast service was excellent, and the villa itself was very clean with a wonderful view and a great design. We also booked a massage. It was good, though only average. The shower pressure was a little weak. There were geckos on the walls too, which I suspect had something to do with the trees. Still, it was a very pleasant stay.
