The villa was a beautiful, private place to unwind after days out exploring. It was easy to get around by bike, and we were close to everything we wanted to see. We also arranged private catering, and the meals were some of the best we had on the whole trip. A big thank you to our host, Komang, for making everything so easy. She was warm, professional, and accommodating, and handled every question and request with a smile. We’d highly recommend staying here if you want attentive service with a personal touch.

The villa looked just like the pictures. After a late flight and a long day of travel, it was lovely to arrive to a welcome drink there. The manager was very friendly. The bed felt a little hard, though I suppose that can happen when travelling.

The villa’s name, Jalak, means starling, a sociable Old World songbird with a straight bill and usually dark, glossy or iridescent feathers, though some are brightly colored. It suits the place. The staff are like sociable songbirds, and the villa is brightly colored.

Cozy, nice place with a friendly host. It was a bit hard to find in regular traffic, though.

The staff were really friendly and helpful, and understood and spoke English well. There’s scooter parking and a large private outdoor area with a pool. The main drawbacks were that the villas are built wall to wall, so you can hear other residents clearly, and that it’s 50-100 meters from Bali’s biggest prison. That didn’t bother us.
