Villa Liang by Nagisa Bali

We booked three nights because the rating and earlier reviews made us expect a clean, comfortable place. After just one night, we had to leave. The hygiene problems and the way our complaints were handled made this one of my worst accommodation experiences. There was dust throughout the villa, hair on the floors in the rooms and bathrooms, dirty towels and bed sheets, and even insects on the sheets. We also saw cobwebs, dead insects, and visible dirt buildup. When we raised the issue, we were told dust was “normal,” though this was far beyond light dust. We asked for fresh sheets, but the replacements were in the same poor condition. It was very disappointing after the positive reviews that led us to choose this property.

We had a lovely time at Villa Bali Asri. The room was so relaxing, and the pool was gorgeous. WiFi problems meant we eventually had to move to another villa, and the staff were very apologetic and accommodating when they couldn't fix it. Andy deserves a special shoutout. He looked after us amazingly, cooked excellent food, suggested activities and places to eat, and even lent us his scooter services. We'd absolutely come back!

Back after three years, and the villas are still well maintained and just as good. We stayed in a Royal King villa, which was huge, with an orientation that gave the pool just the right amount of sun. Service from everyone was exceptional. Special thanks to Shiny, Tika, Harry, April, and Bug man. I don't know his name, but he came by every night with coils and spray to help protect us from mozzies. The beach is less than five minutes away on foot, with beautiful sunsets, and there are plenty of restaurants within walking distance. We mixed road side local spots with basic plates for around $2-3 and fine dining at the french place next door.

The one bedroom Royal Villa was beautiful, spotless, and well maintained. Everyone, from the office staff to the rest of the team, was polite and ready to help. Tika, Sini, and Harry made us delicious breakfasts each day. Sini also cooked a lovely dinner and dessert in our villa on the second last night. They all went above and beyond and made the stay perfect.
