The rooms were reasonably clean, though nothing special. The tiles were old, but generally clean, and the sheets had a few stains even though they’d been washed. Breakfast had a lot of variety and was generous. The main drawback was being right next to a nightclub, which made the location less than ideal.

The floating breakfast price I was given before check-in was 100k, but at check-in a staff member suddenly asked for 150k. When I questioned the extra amount, he told the admin that the additional 50k was a tip from me. That wasn’t true. It felt dishonest and disrespectful, and it’s not professional service. Be clear with guests about charges. Also, the nearby nightclub made noise through the whole night.

This was dishonest and disrespectful, not just unprofessional. Be transparent with guests and stop scamming them.

The room looked pretty, and the location was good. Beyond those two things, my stay was very bad. The villa pool is meant to be a highlight, but its filters didn’t work and the water wasn’t clean, so we couldn’t use it at all during our three nights. Breakfast was mediocre, especially considering we paid more per night here than at any of our other Bali stays, and it was the worst quality of them all. There was construction noise during the day and music from nearby clubs at night. Our telephone didn’t work for almost 24 hours, so I had to walk to reception whenever I needed anything. The hotel also seemed understaffed. When we asked about an early breakfast and followed up, a staff member hung up on me. The room itself was pretty, and that’s the only reason I’d give it one star.
