Suraya and Rai were wonderful and helped us with everything. We spent six nights at Villa Tenang and had a good experience overall. Batu Belig was much quieter than Seminyak or Legian, though we had to take taxis everywhere. There are a few restaurants within walking distance, and Watercress was our favourite. Plenty of decent day spas too. We could hear music from the Bali Boozy Kitchen, but it wasn’t too loud and usually stopped before midnight. The villa was clean, but it needs a lot of TLC. Taps were hard to turn, toilets didn’t flush properly, and some handles and locks weren’t working. My bedsheets had holes and the linen should be replaced. There wasn’t a coffee machine, just some powdered International Roast type coffee that wasn’t drinkable. The TVs only had three or four Indonesian channels and no smart TV option for logging into Netflix or another service. With elderly parents along, a movie night in would have been nice, since we couldn’t go out every night. Those may sound like small things, but they matter at the premium price. We’ve stayed in many Bali villas for much less and got better value. Even the $50-a-night, three-star hotel in Kuta where we stayed before our night flight had these options. A nice place, but we’ve had better value at other villas.

The breakfast each morning was perfect, and all the staff were so lovely. We spent a few days here with family and friends, and the private villa was beautiful and clean. Thank you to everyone on the team!

The location is great, near the beach, and the room was spacious. The villa was quite clean, and mbo and bli were very helpful. Sometimes the neighbour’s love music got too loud, though.

It’s very quiet here and close to the beach. You can walk to restaurants, coffee shops, bars, discoutick, spas, money changers, and other shopping. A strategic spot if you want to get around Bali but mostly explore on foot. The private villas work well for families, including large ones. I’ll come back someday 😉😉

RENTER BEWARE!!!!!! I’ve heard this place was dirty, with soiled sheets and generally unclean. My friend posted a review with room photos, but it disappeared???? They booked a 10-day stay and arrived on a late flight. The next day they went sightseeing, then noticed everything when they returned to the villa. They wouldn’t refund the $5000.00, only gave $100 credit. It should be spotless before you move in, not cleaned after you complain. I suggest staying at a hotel, where there are more options than privately owned villas. No one pays attention to your complaints here, and there was no refund for not staying the full 10 days. Disgraceful.
