Bali Bee House

The bee-house capsule hotel is such a great idea. The people were a big part of why I felt at home: the staff were super friendly and helpful, and I felt like I'd made new friends. You can rent a motorbike here too. The bed was incredibly comfortable, which surprised me for such a cheap bargain. You get your own space, and it's roomier than a typical square capsule. The house feels really homey, with space to work and exercise and a tiny pool that's really only good for a dip or for getting your feet wet while you work. The locker was decent and had room to hang clothes. I wished the bathroom were bigger. There are two bathrooms in one dorm, but each combines shower and toilet, so the floor gets wet. The hot water worked great. There isn't a power contact inside the capsule, though there is one in the locker. Breakfast comes free with the room, and the western food was amazing, really delicious. That's a big plus for a cheap hostel. The place is down a small street, but the Google Maps pin is accurate, so it's not hard to find. It wasn't always quiet: dogs barked at night and roosters could be heard now and then. That could be disturbing if you need quiet to sleep. I liked my stay and would come back to explore the Kerobokam area if I go to Bali again.

I liked the style, the beds were good, and there was air conditioning and hot water. The price was really good too. It's a bit far from the centre, though that might suit you if that's what you're after.

If you want a comfy, homey hostel, this is a great choice. The staff are friendly, the bee bed is cool, and you get one large cupboard for your luggage. Bring your own powerbank so you can lie on your bed and browse the web. You can charge it later while you sleep.

The place felt homey and the service was great. I really loved the breakfast, and staying here wasn't expensive.
