Roselle Villa by Betterplace

Nyepi was such a good time to unwind here. The place had everything we needed, from the pool and outdoor space to a kitchen and an amazing shower. I loved it.

We felt so welcome thanks to the kind host. The house is gorgeous and nicely decorated, with lush greenery and an amazing pool. Definitely recommend staying here.

We came back from a quick lunch nearby on the third day and found housekeeping had been through both rooms. Our things had been moved around and clearly searched. We checked our valuables right away and found IDR700k (about USD45) missing from our bags. It had been taken from red packets containing wedding gifts. We knew exactly how much we had packed back home. Watches, jewelry, the laptop and other valuables were untouched, only a few IDR100k notes were gone. That selectiveness made it seem opportunistic, as if someone thought we might not notice a relatively small amount among larger sums. The host, Alex from Hombali Team, investigated and said none of the staff had taken it. We aren't trying to get money from Hombali over this, it's a small amount to us and we have no reason to put ourselves through that. We do feel we should warn people about the risks at any of Hombali’s properties, since the housekeeping team also works at many of them, as their manager confirmed. We've visited Bali more than ten times and never felt we needed to use a room safe. We've never had our belongings searched or valuables taken before this stay at Villa Roselle. Please keep a close eye on your things and secure them, even somewhere that seems safe. Bali is brilliant, but some people may take advantage of trust. Ours was broken here. The villa was clean and nice, and the location was handy. 7AM bakers club, Tacos Aqui, and Pizza Fabbrica are all about a five-minute walk away. I'd stay here again.
