VILLA JAZBA Canggu

We stayed here in December and January of 2024. It’s a little farther from Canggudan, though there are good quality markets nearby. The house has a lot of lizards because of the open kitchen and the large area behind the pool. Big ones show up in the mornings. They don’t come inside, but even seeing them near the pool is terrifying! The kitchen isn’t very comfortable, and the smell of wood gets into the dishes. It definitely needs updating. On the plus side, the house is lovely, with two bedrooms, a pool and an open kitchen. The owner was incredibly helpful and kind. Cleaning staff come twice a week to take care of the pool, and they’re very friendly. Most people in the area have dogs and unfortunately let them out without leashes. That’s the worst part for me because I have a dog phobia. Even after we talked to them, dogs were at our door every morning, which was really unpleasant. We’re generally staying here, but might stay longer if the problems with insects and dogs are resolved.
