We had a great six-night stay at Villa Tenang, and the staff were wonderful. Suraya and Rai helped us with everything, which we really appreciated. Batu Belig was much quieter than Seminyak or Legian, though we needed taxis to get around. There are a few restaurants you can walk to, and Watercress was our favourite. Plenty of good day spas too. Music from Bali Boozy Kitchen carried over, but it wasn't too loud and usually stopped before midnight. The villa itself could use a lot of TLC. There were many small problems: taps that were hard to turn, toilets that didn't flush properly, and broken handles or locks. It was clean, but the linen needs replacing. My sheets had holes. Those things matter when you're paying luxury-villa prices. We've stayed in plenty of Bali villas for much less and gotten better value. There wasn't a coffee machine, just some powdered International Roast type coffee that was undrinkable. And while I don't usually watch TV in Bali, we were travelling with elderly parents and couldn't go out every night. None of the TVs had streaming, only three or four Indonesian channels. Other villas we've stayed in had smart TVs where you could log into Netflix or another service. Even the $50-a-night three-star hotel in Kuta where we stayed before our night flight had those options. A nice place, but we've had better value from other villas.

The breakfast every morning was perfect, and the staff were so lovely. We spent a few days with friends and family in this gorgeous private villa. Everything was beautiful and clean. Thanks so much to all the great staff!

The room is spacious and the villa is fairly clean. Mbo and bli were really helpful, and the location is great, close to the beach. Sometimes the neighbour's love music gets too loud, though.

This is a quiet villa for families, including larger ones, and it's very close to the beach. You can walk around and enjoy Bali, with restaurants, coffee shops, bars, discoutick, spas, money changers and other shopping nearby. It's a strategic base if you want to explore Bali on foot. I'll come back someday 😉😉

My friend booked a ten-day stay and arrived on a late flight. The next day they went sightseeing, then noticed the problems when they returned to the villa. I'd heard the place was dirty, with soiled sheets and generally unclean. My friend posted a review with photos of the rooms, but it disappeared? They weren't refunded their $5000, only given $100 credit. The place should be spotless before guests move in, not cleaned only after a complaint. I'd suggest a hotel, where there are more options than a privately owned villa where no one seems to pay attention to complaints. They weren't refunded for the ten days they didn't stay. Disgraceful. RENTER BEWARE!!!!!!
