The pool was a highlight, really warm even at night, and the water was very fresh. The bathroom felt cool, though showering on the rocky floor was a little difficult, and the room could use more lighting. Getting there by car is possible, but the access is awkward. Check-in and checkout were easy, and the owner was very friendly. We chatted quite a bit, and she offered us a Jeep trip to explore the mountain. It was nice here.
There’s no WiFi, so ask beforehand what’s provided rather than assuming. The rooms have a queen bed and two towels, with an extra towel costing IDR 15k. From the parking area, it’s about a 50-meter walk to the room through a chili field. Parking is available, but maneuvering into a space may take some driving skill. The entrance from the main road is only 2-3 meters wide. The price seems affordable and in line with the facilities.
The villas are small and lovely, right by the waterfront of Lake Batur, with a really tranquil, peaceful setting. An older couple runs the place, and they’re very sweet and welcoming.
The hospitality and service were good, and it’s a beautiful place. But each log cabin room had too many mice (tikus). Please do something about it. Cleanliness is number one.
The view is great and the room is nice. Parking your car, though, is difficult.
